Head of Maths, Jo Davis, Hockey Achievement!

Many of you will have heard me say that not one day goes by without me being immeasurably proud of the achievement or attitude of a member of the Cove community. This weekend it was the turn of our very own Head of Maths, Jo Davis. You may know that Miss Davis is an exceptional hockey player, representing her home country of Barbados. This weekend however she was captaining her club, East Grinstead, in the English League indoor finals held at Wembley, and luckily for us, televised live on BT Sports.

Much of my Sunday therefore was spent shouting at the television, as first they got through their semi-final and then ran out 3-1 winners in their final. This means they are national league champions and will be competing in Europe next season. Huge congratulations go to East Grinstead and especially to Miss Davis for such a fantastic achievement; we are very proud.
