Learning Resource Centre
School Librarian: Mrs J. Powell - Welcome to the Learning Resource Centre
On joining Cove School, students automatically become a member of the School Library.
Students are issued a ‘PIN’ which enables them access to their individual library account.
Students may borrow up to 3 books at a time for a period of 3 weeks; loans may be renewed if necessary.
The library currently holds a catalogue of over 7000 resources including:
Fiction, non-fiction, large print books, Quick-Reads, graphic novels, Dyslexic Friendly print titles, revision and reference books.
The library resources are evaluated and updated on a regular basis to maintain a high level of current and topical interest resources. This ensures that the library catalogue includes socially relevant and accessible titles for all students.
FirstNews weekly newspaper and popular interest magazines are available to read within the library.
Digital Library: SORA - Available to all staff and students, accessed via this link SORA Login or Quick-links on the Cove School website.
