Cove School Open Evening and Mornings 2026

Welcome to Cove School

We are dedicated to providing an exceptional learning experience for all students, whilst also supporting them to become mature, self-confident and well-rounded young people. We recognise that words, pictures and statistics will only give you a hint of the warmth, ambition and commitment of Cove and we invite you to see us in action. After a successful summer term, our Year 10 students have completed their first term of the VESPA Mindset Programme during tutor time. The programme supports students' personal development and wellbeing while equipping them with the skills, habits and mindset they need to thrive academically and achieve their full potential.

GCSE Examination Results Day - Thursday 20th August 2026 We are looking forward to welcoming our Year 11 students to school on Thursday 20th August 2026 to collect their GCSE examination results. Results will be available for collection from 9:30am. Students should enter the school site via the MFL Block gate entrance, where staff will be based outside the Year 7 Zone to distribute results in person.

Year 10, please remember to access your summer holiday homework on the School website so that you are ready to hit the ground running in Year 11. The work you complete over the summer will give you a strong start to your final year and help you achieve the very best results.

Congratulations to Wellington House, our End of Term House Cup winners. We are incredibly proud of all our students, however a special shout out to Wellington. Well done, Wellington House!

As the school year comes to an end, we'd be incredibly grateful if you could donate any school uniform that your child has outgrown to reception. This way, we are able to reduce waste and give uniform a second life.

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful Headteacher, Dr Andrew King, after 12 years of dedicated service to our school. It is an emotional day for our whole school community as we thank Dr King for his leadership, commitment, and the lasting impact he has made over the years. We are incredibly grateful for everything he has done and the difference he has made to the lives of so many pupils, staff, and families. We wish Dr King every happiness and success in the future. He will always be a valued part of our school family and will be greatly missed.

We are incredibly proud of our amazing students in the Gardening club!! 🌼🌷🌺 Gardening club started three months ago and thanks to their hard work and dedication, our school grounds are looking much brighter, and more vibrant. The main aim of our club is to bring students closer to nature and encourage them to look after our school environment. Environment Care - Taking responsibility for keeping our school grounds beautiful! Hands-on Learning - Discovering how ecosystems work by planting and weeding, Pride in School - Creating a vibrant space that the entire school community can enjoy. From September our gardening club will be officially open, and all students are welcome to join us! More details regarding specific dates and time will be shared at the start of the new term. If anyone would like to donate any gardening items or tools to the club they would be well received!

We celebrated the highly anticipated Cove Challenge on Monday and it was a fantastic day! The students got involved in a range of activities including making collages of their favourite teachers, a newspaper fashion show, building the strongest bridge and ping pong precision. The army even attended to put Year 10 through their paces! It was a wonderful day full of competitive spirit and determination. It was great to see everyone getting stuck in to win maximum points for their house before the academic year draws to a close.
