Overall Purpose of the Subject - Summary:
Health and Social Care is thought provoking and engaging and it is a subject that affects all of our lives.
- R032 - Principles of care in health and social care settings.
- R033 - Supporting individuals through life events
- R034 - Creative and therapeutic activities
- R035 - Health and promotion campaigns
This course will encourage students to:
- Understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of the rights of individuals, person-centered values, effective communication and how to protect individuals in health and social care settings.
- Develop learning and practical skills that can be applied to real-life contexts and work situations.
- Think creatively, innovatively, analytically, logically and critically.
- Develop independence and confidence in using skills that would be relevant to the health and social care sector and more
This qualification is split into three units:

60% assignments (2 assignments – R033 and R035)

40% examination (1 exam R032 - 1 hour)
