Overall Purpose of the Subject - Summary:

Health and Social Care is thought provoking and engaging and it is a subject that affects all of our lives.

• R032 - Principles of care in health and social care settings.
• R033 - Supporting individuals through life events
• R034 - Creative and therapeutic activities
• R035 - Health and promotion campaigns

This course will encourage students to:

• Understand and apply the fundamental principles and concepts of the rights of individuals, person-centered values, effective communication and how to protect individuals in health and social care settings.
• Develop learning and practical skills that can be applied to real-life contexts and work situations.
• Think creatively, innovatively, analytically, logically and critically.
• Develop independence and confidence in using skills that would be relevant to the health and social care sector and more

  This qualification is split into three units:

•  60% assignments (2 assignments – R033 and R035) 

•  40% examination (1 exam R032 - 1 hour)

• All results are awarded on the following:
