Today saw another successful Cove Christmas Lunch, this time provided by our new caterers. Turkey and stuffing, and our vegan option of roasted vegetable, cranberry and cheese puff pastry wreath was followed by a cookie or brownie. Enjoyed by all students and staff.

This week our year 9 students of Spanish and French were treated to amazing performances by the Onatti Theatre Company. The actors performed a very interactive play entirely in Spanish on Monday, and French on Tuesday. The students really enjoyed the interactive experience!

Year 7 students got the opportunity to take part in steel pan workshops, run by Culturemix, this week. They enjoyed trying a new instrument and learning about a different culture. It was fantastic to see all students get involved and enjoy working together as a steel pan orchestra! If your child is interested in taking part in weekly steel pan lessons at school, they should speak to Mr Futcher for further information about signing up.

This week a group of year 11 students visited The University of Surrey for a Wellbeing Day. Students worked with ambassadors from the university taking part in creative arts and sports workshops. Students also had a tour of the university campus and were able to speak to the ambassadors about the many study options available at university level gaining a valuable insight into the various university courses and student lifestyle. Thank you to HEON for hosting this event.

On this Remembrance Day we reflected with our year group assemblies followed by students tying red ribbons to our fence with messages of remembrance, whilst form captains laid crosses from tutor groups in our Field of Remembrance. We also welcomed Gordon's School who came to play pipes and drums who played amazingly well, even in the rain. Please do visit our display this week which is outside the front of school.
